From 5-7 pm during The Block Party, A3 will be hosting a dedication to our newest mural: "Labor Builds Community / El Obrerismo Construye Comunidad." The mural, a colorful story highlighting the history of Oregon’s workforce was painted by A3 staff and students under the direction of Alejandro Sarmiento. This project has been a joint effort of a huge number of organizations and stakeholders, including Lane Arts Council, Springfield Public Schools - OR, Lane County Central Labor Chapter, City of Springfield, Oregon Government, SEIU Local 503, and many more.

Musical entertainment during the event will be provided by Kwaziwai Marimba Band, a youth band from the Kutsinhira Cultural Arts Center.
